The (almost) never ending birthday

Enfin mercredi soir, mon dernier indice:
"c'est dans la maison"
Ah!

My birthday was in July, I received a few presents from Hubby, but he told me that, that wasn't it, that he was waiting to receive my present. To make me wait, every Sunday he would give me a clue, but as the month went on, I started forgeting about it, even getting mad as the month went by and I couldn't understand why I didn't have my present.

I got a few clues, but they made me question things more than anything else such as:
"It has to do with the mail but it's not coming in the mail"
"It's decorative"
"It's for the house"
"I was in the room next to it the week of theStudio Stroll
That last clue made me think that it could be made by an artist, it reassured me a bit, it would explain why it was taking so long, and well, if it was made by an artist, maybe it was worth waiting, right?

At last Wednesday night, my last clue:
"It's in the house"
Ha! Could it be my birthday, at last?
Yes it was, Hubby put my present in my hands. It was cold and metalic and I opened my eyes to that:

Une croix occitane en metal/ an occitan cross made of metal
L'idee etant qu'elle decore notre boite aux lettres/ the idea being to use it to decorate our mailbox

I told Hubby before that I wanted to paint the Occitan Cross (symbol of my regin) on the mail box, no need to the get the peint out anymore. I now have a bit more of my native South-West France decorating our house.

Tu as un gentil petit mari il me semble ;-)))
