I've had this idea for a while. I'd like this blog to become accessible both to French and English speakers given that after all I'm talking about an English country.
Of course it would take both more time and space to translate the content, although I don't think I would translate older posts (unless I'm really bored)
But I really would like for this blog to become, as much as possible bilingual.
I need your help for this as I have three options.

Option 1) Create a second blog with the same content but translated in English.
Pro: It's simple: a new address a new blog with the same content but in English.
Con: You have to go from one blog to the other. No exchange between the different languages, and when I write in someone else's blog and live my url they won't necessarily know there is a language option.

Option 2) Publish two posts: one in English, one in French.
Pro: Simple, everyone can comment in the post related to their language, no new address.
Con: It takes more publishing space and for those using softwears such as netvibes it's double posts showing every time. Still little exchange between the different readers.

Option 3) Write within the same post in French and English. If it's a short post with pictures translate at the end of the paragraph for example. If it's a longer one write the first part in French and the second part in English.
Pro: Exchange possible between the bilangual readers, one post per subject.
Con: Shape a bit more complicated wheter there are pictures or not. Also you need to scrool down a lot more to read or comment.

I will let you vote in the blogitexpress box.

  1. A voté !

  5. Sometimes you write posts to explain certain aspects of ta vie américaine and I think it would be appropriate to leave those only in French. I think probably more of your French readers would understand English more than your native English speakers understanding French. I'd say do whatever combo keeps you blogging and keeps you from feeling burned out! I personally love reading the French and being able to respond in French helps me keep up with it :) So hope it's not too weird si je réponds parfois en anglais, parfois en français :)
